Minister Jarrah says work underway to reduce telecom and internet cost

Minister of Telecommunications Jamal Jarrah said on Friday that the Ministry of Telecommunication is working on reducing the cost of internet and telecom services.

He added that a committee of experts was formed to thoroughly look into this matter.

The minister’s comments were made during an interview on Voice of Lebanon (100.3) radio station whereby he promised to inform the Lebanese people about the outcome of the committee's examination.

The Minister also indicated that work is underway to operate through fiber optics, which, one functioning, the 4G service will be available for all subscribers nationwide.
