LBCI’s camera documents environmental disasters in Bekaa

Minister of the Environment Nazzem el-Khoury will be visiting the Bekaa valley tomorrow, along with a delegation from the United Nations Development Program to look into a number of environmental programs for the area.

The Minister’s tour will commence from the town of Kefraya at 10:15 am, where he will be visiting an advanced site for forestation. Jib Jineen will be the second leg of his tour; where Khoury will be assessing a renewable energy site.

The Litani River and Qar’aoun Lake are also among the Minister’s stops, prior to moving on to Taanayel where he will be signing a corporate agreement in compliance with the Montreal Protocol which stipulates the disposal of substances that deplete the ozone layer.

On the eve of this visit, LBCI’s camera gives you insight into the environmental disasters facing the Bekaa.
