The committee tasked with defending the rights of the tenants, reiterated its rejection to the new rent law, holding both the cabinet and the parliament responsible for the disastrous results and reactions to be caused by the “displacement program that aims at turning the tenants and their families into homeless people.”
The committee addressed the president calling on him to return the amended law to the parliament.
The committee also called on all committees across the regions and neighbors to join a meeting to held on Monday January 23rd at 5 in the afternoon in Wata al-Mseitbeh, in order to set a plan of actions and implement it immediately.
