Putin, Ahmadinejad hold telephone conversation

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad held a telephone conversation during which both officials expressed a mutual willingness to "continue the onward development of Russia-Iranian relations," the Kremlin press service reported on Saturday.

Ahmadinejad congratulated Putin on his inauguration as president on May 8 as both officials "mapped out" plans for further contacts.
