Hariri: Tripoli residents showed their attachment to the state institutions project

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri praised Tripoli residents for their compliance with the calls for truce and for their support for the measures taken by security forces, which enabled the LAF to deploy on all territories to contain the chaos that prevailed in the city in the past few days.

Hariri said on Tuesday that the awareness of Tripoli’s residents, the young ones in particular, showed that they are attached to the project of the state and its institutions and that they reject any attempt to lure them out of the state.

Hariri stressed that Tripoli residents have the right to express their opinion freely in accordance with the laws in force; on the other hand, the state has to grant them this right, protect them and find the appropriate solutions, he said.

Hariri called on all leaders and political figures in Tripoli to follow up on the security measures to prevent the recurrence of what happened and to maintain security and stability in the capital of North Lebanon.
