Prisoner swap between Jaafar tribe and Syrian opposition

Sources told LBCI that a prisoner exchange took place on Wednesday between Jaafar tribe and Syrian opposition on the Lebanese-Syrian borders.         Security sources revealed that the exchange took place after negotiations between the two parties.

Khodor Jaafar and Abdallah al-Zein were kidnapped in Al-Kassir town by Syrian rebels, raising anger among their parents who kidnapped Syrians.

The region is now facing uneasy calm and fear of new clashes.

In the town of Hawch al Sayyed Ali, funerals were held for the man killed in gunfire exchange with Syrian army on Tuesday.
