Local dailies employees protest unfair dismissal in Beirut

48 employees staged a protest outside Al Waseet offices in Beirut on Friday after they were subjected to unfair dismissal by Al Waseet and Al Balad dailies, Lyalina magazine and the Integra Company.

The AWI group and Sada al-Balad newspaper responded to the protest, explaining that the dismissal stems from economic motivations that prompted the companies to take austerity measures, confirming that they only act under the “ceiling of law”.
