Judge Sawwan charges five Syrians over terror links
Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan issued on Thursday two indictments against five Syrians over terror links.
The first indictment charged Haitham Nawras al-Azab over his involvement in terror cases, transporting militants by hiding them in a van through the border town of Arsal.
In his second indictment, judge Sawwan charged Mahmoud Said al-Hussein and three accomplices with participating in the 2014 battles in Arsal against the Lebanese army, the attempted murder of soldiers, vandalism, kidnapping and stealing a military vehicle.
The suspects were referred to the Military Tribunal to stand trial.
