Rai: Arab countries decision “painful, offensive and harmful”

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai regretted on Sunday the decision of some Arab countries, calling on their nationals in Lebanon to return to their countries and urging their citizens not to travel to Lebanon. Rai described this decision as “painful, offensive and harmful”.

“To all who are bearing arms in Tripoli and elsewhere, leave the arms, we have had enough” Rai said.

On Saturday, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE issued travel warning for Lebanon, urging citizens not to travel to the country beleaguered by fighting in the north and called for the immediate return for those already in Lebanon.
