Head of Public Drivers' Union Tleis says interests of quarries owners do not concern them

Head of Public Drivers' Union Bassam Tleis stressed Wednesday that the road transportation sector does not accept in any form insulting or abusing the Lebanese citizens on the roads, whether through blocking these roads or insulting these people.

In a statement, Tleis said that the interests of the owners of quarries do not concern them as a sector, noting that the issue is related to legal procedures.

He also called on the truck owners and drivers to end their sit-in and open the roads, urging them to form a committee tasked with carrying out the necessary contacts to reach a humanitarian and social solution.
