Employees of Rafic Hariri University Hospital hold fresh sit-in

President of the General Confederation of Lebanese Workers Bechara Asmar hailed on Friday the employees of the Rafic Hariri University Hospital for their civility on the third day of an open-ended protest.

“It is important that you demand your rights while medical work is still ongoing, since this is a civilized way to voice your opinions, and I am by your side,” Asmar said during the sit-in.

“I discussed this matter with Minister of Health Ghassan Hasbani in order to move forward on delivering what was promised, and he was positive and promised to help and make us achieve our demands,” Asmar said.

The demonstration has been ongoing for three days at the hospital campus with employees demanding that the hospital administration take their rights and working conditions into consideration.
