Berri says an important meeting to be held Sunday night over electoral law
Speaker Nabih Berri asserted on Sunday that the AMAL Movement is the sole party that is facing the sectarian vote laws.

He also noted that an importance meeting will be held on Sunday night to reach a common ground over a new electoral law that is based on proportionality, the women and migrants’ rights.

Lebanese leaders are still struggling to agree on a new vote law in time for a Parliament session scheduled for May 15.

Parliamentary elections were first scheduled to take place between May 21 and June 21, however political deadlock is expected to delay polls beyond June.
