Protesters rally in Bir al-Abed amid signs pointing to the abductees release

The Hussainiyah Al-Zahra protest, expected to be held in Zoqaq al-Blat on Wednesday, was postponed, awaiting the results of mediation to release the Lebanese kidnapped in Syria.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the abductees rallied in Bir al-Abed awaiting the result of contacts amid positive signs regarding their release.

According to information made available to LBCI, negotiations bore their desired fruits and the abductees' release will be announced within the upcoming few hours.

Earlier in the day, the LAF managed to reopen the Baalbaek-Hermel main road and that of Rasm al-Hadath on Wednesday after they were blocked by relatives of the Lebanese people that were abducted in Aleppo upon their return from a visit to the holy sites in Iran.

The Syrian plane carrying Lebanese pilgrims, most of whom are women, landed on Tuesday, after midnight, at the Beirut airport after they were kidnapped in Syria’s Aleppo by members of the Free Syrian Army upon their return from pilgrimage in Iran.

In details, the Free Syrian Army arrested the “Badr al-Kobra” bus that was carrying 50 Lebanese citizens coming back from a visit to the holy sites in Iran. The Army pulled the 7 men off of the bus, leaving 43 women onboard, allowing them to continue their driving to Lebanon.
