Man escapes abduction attempt in Zahle

A man identified as Sh. A. K. avoided on Thursday being kidnapped in east Lebanon.

The incident took place when he was on his way home from the Chamsine Bakery in Ksara at 11:30 pm when he was attacked at the roundabout near the Al Rihab resort in Zahle.

Four armed men stepped down from a Jeep Cherokee, leaving Sh. A. K. no choice but to accelerate towards them, therefore hitting with their Jeep. A white Mercedes then tried to block is way, but he was able to flee the scene.

Then Sh. A. K accidentally saw a security patrol and informed it of the abduction attempt. The patrol chased the assailants but was unable to apprehend the suspects.

Sh. A. K. submitted a formal complaint at the police station of al-Moalaka against unknown persons on charges of attempted kidnapping.
