Geagea: Crackdown on terrorism must be done on both military and security levels

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea stressed on Monday the need to crackdown on terrorism on both military and security levels.

“Tensions between the Lebanese people and the Syrian refugees are not racist but are linked to the country’s economic situation,” Geagea added.

He also said that the safe zones in Syria have infrastructures that exceed those in Lebanon.

Geagea called for not politicizing the Syrian refugee crisis to avoid any political decision that we are not in need of.

“Any proposal to re-engage in ties with the Syrian regime only hinders the refugees' return," he concluded.
