The frequent visits made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to the border region with Syrian, aim at having a closer inspection into the development and to look into Israel’s role in the safe zone issue.
In this regard, Israel insists on having a direct role in placing the conditions of the Russian-US deal regarding Syria, since it doubts that Russia’s presence will prevent the presence of Iran and Hezbollah, both of which pose threats to its security.
