Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil said on Wednesday that Lebanon is currently facing a big challenge in outstanding all that is affecting its presence in the region. He also noted that “Lebanon has made a huge improvement in preserving its civilized and diverse image despite the situation in the region.”
Following a meeting with Patriarch of Antioch and all the East of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church Joseph Absi at the Patriarchic residence in Rabwe, Bassil stated that “this edifice adds to the immunity of Lebanon in his confrontation, especially with the love his beatitude holds for his patronage and all its citizens as well as his behavior in the church and in the nation with the capacity to distinguish between those two fields to well play his important role.”
He also wished for the cooperation with his beatitude under the title that the state is beyond everyone and that the church and the spiritual statuses are a part of this country.
