The municipality of Beirut based its tender for the collection and transportation of garbage on the concept of waste segregation at source.
Three types of containers will be distributed on 750 locations across the capital, one for the recyclable waste, another for organic waste and one for untreatable waste.
Each container will have its own garbage truck specialized with transporting its content to the waste treatment plant.
Ramco Company, which won the tender, is set to assume its duties in five months.
