The biometric ID will cost the government an amount of USD 130 million.
According to sources from the Interior Ministry, the cost is divided into:
- USD 50 million is the cost of producing the card (such as printing).
- The rest is dedicated for logistics, including the number of employees, the machines and 400 centers to be established to collect fingerprints as well as required electronic programs and software.
