Thieves’ vehicle overturns after failed robbery attempt in al-Amiriyeh

The vehicle of two thieves overturned on Thursday at dawn as they were in the process of robbing a mobile store in al-Amiriyeh, in al-Metn region.

In details, Maurice Youssef Youssef and Iskandar Mohammad were attempting to rob a mobile store on the Bekfayah road, but fled away after they had drawn attention to themselves.

As they got into their car swiftly and drove away at high speed, the vehicle overturned in al-Amiriyeh, causing serious injuries to Youssef.

Youssef was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he is receiving treatment amid tight security measures.

The ISF is currently chasing after Iskandar who managed to escape the scene.
