Body of Palestinian national found in Ain al-Helweh’s garbage dump

The body of Palestinian national, Ahmad Hassan al-Hajj also known as “William,” was found on Thursday thrown inside a garbage dump at a vegetable market in Ain al-Helweh. The head of the victim was covered with a plastic bag.

Palestinian security forces rushed to the scene and informed the Lebanese apparatuses of the incident.

The body was transferred to Al-Hamshari Hospital, awaiting the results of the coroner’s inspection.
According to preliminary inspection, al-Hajj may have been the victim of asphyxiation due to hanging.
