LF responds to Gemayel’s statements during live interview

The Lebanese Forces condemned on Thursday MP Sami Gemayel’s statements during a televised interview.

Speaking live on TV Wednesday night during an intrview, Kataeb Party leader Gemayel said that his party is “an opposition” since it refused to join the ranks of the current Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Commenting on Gemayel’s statements, the LF said on Thursday that the Kataeb leader had refused to join the Cabinet because he was not granted the industry minister.

As for Gemayel’s accusations that the LF-Free Patriotic Movement alliance was established because of political interests, the LF said that it was the last party that could be accused of carrying out such a thing.
