LF responds to Karami: Let war-related files be fully opened

The Lebanese Forces media office spoke out against the statements made by former PM Omar Karami in which he called on the Constitutional Council to reconsider the amnesty law that enabled the release of Samir Geagea.    

The office reiterated Friday its call for reopening all war-related files.    

The office also urged people “such as Karami” to reconsider their national identity and affiliation to Lebanon as well as the principles of Abd Al Hamid Karami.    

The LF urged the concerned parties to reconsider all violations committed against the LF members and the Lebanese youth and to reconsider what the youth of Tripoli have endured during the era of occupation and tutelage.     

The office also called on the concerned parties to question the “cover-ups” for the crimes of Kamal Jumblatt, Bashir Gemayel, Rene Mouawad and Rafik Hariri.     

The LF called on all those wishing to reopen war-related files not to hold back, and that should the files be opened, “to be opened fully.”    

The office also called for reconsidering the “impotent” amnesty law, enacted after the Taif accord.
