LU contract professors protest outside Mikati’s residence
Lebanese University contract professors staged a protest on Friday outside the residence of PM Najib Mikati in Verdun, demanding him to include the tenure issue in the cabinet agenda.    

The protesters confirmed that “the tenure item has now passed the academic stage; however, the issue now seems to be of political nature.”    

The professors warned of stepping up their movement in order to have their demands met.
