MP Abi Ramia to LBCI: Imposing taxes “obligatory” to fund pay scale

Change and Reform bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia said on Saturday that imposing additional taxes was “obligatory” in order to fund the pay scale.

Abi Ramia’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that approving the state’s budget and the judicial appointments “are achievements made during President Michel Aoun’s era.”

As for the Fajer al-Jouroud military operation, Abi Ramia noted that the International community wanted to postpone the operation, adding that going ahead with it was a form of “regaining the Lebanese sovereign decision.”
