President Aoun: We will await for Hariri’s return from KSA

President Michel Aoun received on Saturday a phone call from Prime Minister Saad Hariri who informed him of his resignation.

The media office of the Lebanese presidency issued a statement in this regard saying that Aoun will await for Hariri’s return to Beirut to brief him about the circumstances of his resignation and to act accordingly.

Earlier, Prime Minister Saad Hariri submitted his resignation, saying in a televised broadcast he sensed a plot to assassinate him, criticizing Iran and Hezbollah.

He said a similar atmosphere existed in the country prevailed before the assassination of his father, late prime minister Rafic Hariri.
