Daher to LBCI: Hezbollah’s strategy lies in weakening Tripoli, sowing chaos

"Lebanon First" bloc MP Khaled Daher announced on Monday that Tripoli has been targeted since 1976, adding that the north constitutes an obstacle to the project of the mini-state and that of March 8.     

Daher told Nharkom Said TV Show that Tripoli is targeted because it is seeking independence and sovereignty and refusing to return to the Syrian tutelage era.   
“Arms are present everywhere across Lebanon under the cover of Hezbollah”, he said, adding that arms are also distributed to Hezbollah’s allies and the March 8 bloc.     

Daher said that Hezbollah’s strategy lies in weakening Tripoli and sowing chaos in the city, confirming that the LAF has no political decision.He went on to accuse Hezbollah of leveraging the army for internal ends and “disciplining” its opponent, particularly March 14 members.   

The MP pointed out a “gang in Baal Mohsen, comprised of 250 members of whom the majority are of Syrian nationality,” denying the presence of Free Syrian Army militants in Tripoli.      

Daher added that “It is shameful to label the Syrian refugees as terrorists”, wondering what MP Michel Aoun gained out of his alliance with Hezbollah.
