Prime Minister Saad Hariri told his supporters on Wednesday he would stay with them, after shelving his resignation from the premiership in a move that eased a key political crisis in the country.
"I am staying with you and will continue with you...to be a line of defense for Lebanon and its stability and for Lebanon's Arabism," Hariri told hundreds of people gathered outside his house in central Beirut to show support.
Hariri resigned on November 4 in Saudi Arabia citing assassination plots and Hezbollah policies as reasons behind his move.
He returned on Tuesday night after an intervention from France.
