The International Support Group for Lebanon is set to hold a meeting next Friday in Paris, after French President Emmanuel Macron held urgent discussions with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres regarding the repercussions of the situation in Lebanon.
Macron also contacted all the group’s members who approved the set date.
The support group includes the permanent members of the UN Security Council (US, Russia, China, France and UK) as well as Germany, Italy, the United Nations, the European Union and the Arab League. Egypt was invited this time to participate given the major role it played in the recent crisis.
