Israeli drone strike wounds Lebanese army officer, soldier in Nabatieh area

The Lebanese army said an Israeli drone targeted a military vehicle on the Deir el-Zahrani–Nabatieh road on Wednesday, wounding an officer and a soldier.

The army said the strike was part of what it described as the deliberate targeting of its personnel, vehicles, and positions.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli attacks across Lebanon, particularly in the south, which the army said have resulted in civilian and military casualties as well as widespread damage to property and infrastructure.

The statement added that the ongoing attacks appear aimed at forcing residents to leave their villages and towns, reflecting what it described as the broader objectives behind the escalation.
