Mikati reiterates call for dialogue

PM Najib Mikati reiterated his call for national dialogue scheduled for June 11.

During the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research, Mikati said “dialogue represents an opportunity to table divisive issues freely and objectively in order to reach solutions based on national consensus.”

The prime minister stressed that dialogue should not become a “seasonal occasion or luxury that one can accept or deny depending on his/her personal interests or calculations”.

“Dialogue is an act of faith that should be carried out on a daily basis so that Lebanon becomes capable of playing its role with freedom and dignity.”
