Wednesday gathering: MPs see good prospect for cabinet

Lawmakers quoted Speaker Nabih Berri as saying during Wednesday’s gathering that the presidential meeting held on Tuesday confirmed the importance of reaching understanding on several issues in order to “oil the wheel” of the state on different levels.

These items include addressing the expenditure issue within the legal framework and moving quickly to the draft budget.

The lawmakers added that the presidential meeting touched on several items including, boosting the LAF’s role and doubling efforts to address the security situation and defuse tensions, especially in Tripoli.

The meeting also agreed on finalizing the issue of appointments while adopting the mechanism implied by this file.
