Former Minister Ghazi a-Aridi stressed Thursday that Lebanon is a country of diversity and diversity means freedom, noting that these are the town main reason for this country to exist.
“The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation is today the Lebanese Freedom Corporation,” he stated.
In a statement to LBCI from outside the Justice Palace, al-Aridi noted that “what is happening is unjustifiable,” adding that he had watched Marcel Ghanem’s Kalam el-Nas episode in question and he did not find any justification to question Marcel Ghanem.
“The guest that was present during the talk show episode responded clearly to all accusations launched against the country’s officials,” he explained.
The former minister emphasized that Lebanon cannot bear such a policy, pointing out that it is in no one’s interest to endorse an issue of freedoms in the country and no one can defeat freedom in Lebanon.
