Future TV’s laid-off employees stage sit-in

The Future TV’s laid-off employees staged Wednesday a sit-in outside the TV’s administration building in the region of Spears, to protest against the institution’s procrastination in paying the dues in respect to the contracts.

Following a meeting between a delegation from the protesters and the TV’s Director General Ramzi Jbeili, Mohammad Akil, speaking on behalf of the laid-off employees, said that they rejected Jbeili’s proposal to settle the payments over a period of 7 months, instead of three.

Akil called on the concerned officials at the institutions to present other proposals that are fair to the employees and that can resolve the issue at hand the soonest possible.
