Huge fire erupts in Abbassiyeh

A Huge fire erupted on Sunday inside the occupied part of al-Abbassiyeh and soon spread onto the liberated part of the city where Israel had created a minefield in 2000.

The LAF and Civil Defense are working on extinguishing the fire that surrounded al-Abbassiyeh Mosque and several abandoned houses.

Meanwhile, the UNIFIL reported that the fire also spread onto the western part of the site on which the Spanish contingent operates, adding that UNIFIL members are working on controlling the fire to prevent it from spreading onto the entire site.
