Arab efforts to release abductees halted after mediator gets injured at Turkish-Syrian border

Exclusive sources told LBCI Sunday that efforts deployed through a Syrian mediator to release the Lebanese pilgrims abducted in Syria have been halted after the mediator was injured at the Turkish-Syrian border.

The residents of Beirut's southern suburbs are desperately waiting for news on the abductees. They said they were optimistic since the abductees appeared to be in good health, adding that they were told negotiations were going well.
