Jumblatt: Latest security incidents and abductions aim at dragging the country to strife
National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt said on Monday the latest security incidents, mainly the abductions and counter-abductions that took place in north Lebanon, aim at igniting the north and dragging the country to strife and tension. Jumblatt said that this was the only alternative for the dialogue that some political parties are “surprisingly” rejecting.

In his weekly statement to Al-Anbaa newspaper, Jumblatt condemned setting Alawite’s shops on fire in Tripoli, warning that this could fuel conflicts and increase tension.

On the other hand, Jumblatt recalled press baron “Ghassan Tueni” saying that he was a wise high level statesman who left his mark on the Lebanese political, intellectual and media scenes.
