Patriarch Rai says no one has the right to obstruct judicial decisions

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Rai stressed that the politicians have no right to keep this state of uncertainty and fear of the other, or continue debating over the simplest of things and exchanging accusations, while obstructing productive work at the parliament, its committees, the government and the administrations.

In hid holy sermon delivered during Sunday’s Mass, Rai emphasized that “no one has the right to take national decisions individually and impose them on everyone or to violate the laws and obstruct judicial decisions.”

“This is not Lebanon’s democratic image,” he said, stressing that Lebanon is formed of two lines of plurality that meet in a national unity.
