President Aoun meets with Iraqi PM Abadi

President Michel Aoun held on Tuesday talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Baghdad.

Aoun said that the talks were "fruitful," mainly in terms of bilateral cooperation on the economic and developmental levels.

On the political level, Aoun reiterated Lebanon's support for the unity of Iraq, renewing rejection of any attempt that may jeopardize the country and the future of its people.

"Within this frame, we also stressed on the importance of exchanging data and expertise to fight terrorism, as well as deploying international unified efforts during this confrontation," he added.
