REPORT: Hariri says investment spending program includes more than 250 projects

Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Tuesday that Lebanon starts today a new and promising phase that involves the private sector in the implementation of infrastructure projects, mainly after the Cabinet has approved last year a partnership law between the public and private sectors.

Hariri’s comments were made during the opening session of the Infrastructure Investment Conference in Lebanon.

“The investment spending program, which is worth more than USD 16 billion, includes more than 250 projects in different sectors spanning on all governorates,” Hariri added.

He also noted that the “Cedar Conference” which will be held in France on April 6 is the cornerstone for an ambitious urban policy to implement the investment spending program over the next 10 years, and to support the economic stability and laying the solid foundations that will allow the advance of the national economy and the achievement of high growth rates and the creation of sustainable employment opportunities.
