Parliament passes budget 2018, sets public sector’s working hours at 34 per week

The parliament closed Thursday’s session with passing 26 draft laws, including the amendment of the biometric card article in the electoral law for one time, and the treaty on arms dealing.

 

The parliament also passed the 2018 budget by voting.

 

50 deputies voted in favor of the budget law, while MPs Samy Gemayel and Serge Torsarkissian voted against and 11 MPs abstained from voting.

 

The parliament approved granting the judges three degrees, restoring the judicial vacation to one month and a half. It also set the work hours at all public sectors at 34 hours per week.
