Salameh: Reforms are right approach to put country on right track

Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh said on Friday that reforms are the right approach to put the country on the right track.

He also noted that Lebanon must take a decision over the future direction and reforms for the country, which will be the mission of the next Parliament that will be elected in May 6.

Salameh’s comments were quoted by the candidate for the Greek Orthodox seat in Metn Violette Salameh whereby he said that Lebanon’s economy suffers due to the absence of radical treatments.

Salameh also noted that the electricity sector can be privatized in order to reduce costs for the Treasury.
