Public institutions’ contract workers threaten to boycott legislative elections

The follow-up committee of the public administrations' contract workers has threatened on Wednesday to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections in case the authorities fail to grant them their rights.

 

The committee accused current deputies and heads of parliamentary blocs of being responsible for failure to approve the three exceptional degrees, placing the matter in the hands of Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil.

 

The committee also called on those in charge to swiftly to seek appropriate solutions before the legislative deadline on May 6.

 

In the statement, the committee said that a meeting will be scheduled to be held soon in order to determine the upcoming escalatory measures in this regard, calling on all the concerned workers to be ready to stage the movements that will be decided.
