Economy Minister Raed Khoury said that the air strikes on Syria were localized and were not about toppling the regime, as some were saying, noting that Lebanon’s stability protects the region’s stability.
On the loans offered during Cedre conference, Minister Khoury told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that these loans have reforms as a condition and coupled with a follow-up mechanism.
“The financial reforms include controlling the public funds in the budget and reducing deficit through resolving the electricity issue first,” he added.
In this context, the minister called for ending reckless employment in the state’s institutions, reconsidering the retirement law in Lebanon, reviewing the feasibility and productivity of every job and granting the state the right to fire an employee.
