Berri: May 6 will be a day for celebrating democracy

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Saturday that “no matter how hard the electoral winds, they must not make any candidate or political party veer away from national grounds."

Berri’s comments were made during a meeting with more than 400 municipal council heads and representatives.

He also noted that May 6 will be a day for celebrating democracy and not mourning it.
