For the first time in Lebanon, the Ministry of Finance issued the “Citizen Budget 2018” booklet, which will be issued, circulated and subject to discussion by the public.
The ministry issued this booklet as a simplified version of the state budget, since it is the citizen’s right to know who the budget is being spent, and because the transparency is a principle required by the International Community in terms of how the loans and grants are being used.
