31 ballot boxes arrive to Beirut airport- Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Affairs Ministry announced on Sunday that 31 ballot boxes for the expatriates voting in six Arab countries arrived until now to the Beirut International Airport.

The ballot boxes will be transferred to the Banque Du Liban as the sorting of the votes will take place on May 6.

One ballot box coming from Jeddah is expected to arrive to Lebanon on Monday at 10:00 AM.

It is the first time Lebanese living abroad were able to cast their ballots in an election. Those in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Egypt voted on Friday and Lebanese in other countries are voting today (Sunday April 29).

This as the parliamentary elections in Lebanon will take place on May 6.
