PM Hariri continues his northern tour, focuses on plan for Tripoli

Prime Minister Saad Hariri continued Monday his tour in North Lebanon, where he met at the Quality Inn Hotel in Tripoli with families and relatives of Islamist detainees, stressing the amnesty law is being carefully studied and hoped that it will be completed soon.

He also visited the Chamber of Commerce in Tripoli, where he participated in a meeting on Tripoli’s role in Arab economy, stating that the plan for the northern city is to remove it from the state of marginalization and economic deterioration.

He noted that his plan for Tripoli is based on seven themes, including a project to promote Tripoli, boost its role as a logistics platform and incubator environment for start-up companies, to improve public services, in addition to projects to rehabilitate the old city, to reactivate the Rachid Karami International Exhibition Center, while launching initiatives to enhance professional and technical skills and prepare them for the new sectors.

Hariri stressed that the implementation of these projects enhances the role of Tripoli as an essential economic center, provides thousands of jobs for Tripoli’s youth, increases production within the city and all Lebanon and contributes to the achievement of sustainable growth, in Tripoli, and from Tripoli to all of Lebanon.
