Despite tight deadlines and several difficulties that accompanied the Lebanese expatriates’ elections held overseas, the voting process went by smoothly.
However, the process did not pass without flaws and doubts, mainly over the method of transporting the ballot boxes to Lebanon and the transparency behind it.
In addition to these concerns, several question marks were raised over the absence of some names from the voters’ lists. This was causes by technical issues, according to the Interior and Foreign Ministries.
