Mohammad Makiyeh escapes from his abductors
Citizen Mohammad Makiyeh returned home to Baalbeck on Friday afternoon, after having been kidnapped by unidentified assailants on board a Cherokee SUV Thursday evening on the Baalbeck – Deir al-Ahmar road.           

The abductors called Makiyeh’s mother on Friday morning asking for a $US 300,000 ransom in exchange for his release.

According to Makiyeh his escape materialized after the kidnappers thought they have fallen into a military ambush. This as the LAF intensified its patrols in the region.
